Transients are very difficult to prevent and can be caused by switching on the transmission system or lightning.
You can fit surge protectors to small devices or use isolation transformers for larger equipment to help protect it. There are are many power quality meters available to buy or rent that will record &quot;out of range&quot; events if you want to challenge your power supplier.</description>
